With regular care, Crochet Braids can last 6–8 weeks, sometimes up to twelve weeks. Longevity depends on installation quality, hair type, chosen texture, and maintenance routine. Avoid excessive tension and cleanse scalp every one to two weeks to extend wear.
Yes when installed and maintained properly. Crochet Braids reduce daily manipulation, but avoid overly tight braids or heavy styles. Keep scalp moisturized, remove styles promptly if irritation occurs, and allow recovery time between installations to protect hair health.
Hair is not included with our Crochet Braids service. Clients should bring their own extensions or purchase from Dawn of Beauty before installation. Complimentary shampoo and conditioning are available Monday–Wednesday; blow-dry prep is offered for an additional $25.
Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo diluted with water and focus on the scalp. Rinse thoroughly, apply lightweight conditioner on extensions, avoid heavy oils that weigh hair, air dry or low heat, and sleep with a satin bonnet to reduce frizz and tangling.
It depends on the extension fiber. Human hair can be colored and heat-styled cautiously; synthetic fibers often cannot tolerate dyes or high heat. Always consult your stylist, perform strand tests, use heat protectant, and limit temperature to prevent damage and preserve style longevity.
