Microlinks/i-Tips generally require maintenance every 6-8 weeks as natural hair grows. During maintenance we reposition beads, check strand integrity and refresh blending to keep extensions secure, comfortable and looking seamless.
Most hair types are compatible if the natural hair is healthy and at least a few inches long. Fine or fragile hair needs careful assessment; our stylists perform a consultation to determine suitability and recommend proper placement and strand counts.
Hair is not included with the service but is available for purchase. We offer a range of textures, lengths and qualities and can help you select and pre-order the correct amount and color for a seamless match.
Brush gently with a loop brush, use sulfate-free products, sleep with hair protected, avoid oil near beads and minimize excessive heat. Regular at-home care plus salon maintenance extends wear and prevents unnecessary strain on natural hair.
When installed by trained technicians and maintained correctly, damage risk is low. Proper placement, appropriate weight per strand and routine upkeep prevent excess tension; pre-existing damage or improper care can increase risk, so consult before installation.
Initial installations typically take 2–4 hours depending on the number of strands and complexity. Time includes shampoo, conditioning, bead application, blow-dry and a silk press; purchasing or color-matching hair may add additional time.
