With proper care, a Sew-In can be worn for about 6–8 weeks before maintenance or reinstallation. Regular cleansing, proper product use, and timely tightening help extend wear and protect your natural hair from unnecessary stress.
Hair is not included with the Sew-In service; Dawn of Beauty offers a curated selection of extensions available for purchase. Your stylist will help you choose the right length, texture, and density to match your natural hair and goals.
Yes. Complimentary shampoo and conditioning are provided Monday through Wednesday. If you prefer a blow-dry to prep your hair, it is available for an additional $25. Outside those days, arrive clean and detangled to streamline installation.
When installed and maintained correctly, Sew-Ins are a protective option. Damage occurs from excessive tension, neglected cleansing, or improper removal. Follow stylist care instructions and schedule regular maintenance to minimize risk and encourage healthy hair growth.
Avoid heavy swimming or intense sweating for the first 48–72 hours to allow the install to set. When swimming, use a swim cap, rinse thoroughly afterward, and recondition to prevent tangling and preserve extension integrity.
Yes. Our stylists can match extension shades, recommend textures, and perform custom cutting or styling. Chemical color services may require a separate appointment; we’ll advise on timing to ensure the best match and hair health.
