Get answers to common questions about Underarm Waxing.
Most clients enjoy two to four weeks of smooth, hair-free underarms depending on individual hair growth, hormone levels, and aftercare. Regular waxing can extend intervals as regrowth becomes finer and slower over time.
No — waxing removes hair at the root without changing its color or thickness. Over time, consistent waxing tends to produce finer, softer regrowth rather than coarser, darker hair. Proper technique prevents ingrown hairs when performed correctly.
Some discomfort is normal, especially for first-timers, but sessions are quick. To minimize pain, exfoliate beforehand, avoid caffeine, breathe deeply, and schedule appointments when skin is not sunburned or irritated.
Ensure hair is about a quarter inch long, clean, and dry. Avoid heavy lotions, deodorants, or recent tanning. Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours beforehand to reduce ingrown hairs and improve wax adhesion.
Avoid hot showers, intense workouts, and swimming for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or post-wax serum, wear breathable clothing, and exfoliate gently after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. If irritation persists, contact us.
Wait at least 12 to 24 hours before applying deodorant to allow pores to close. Use a gentle, fragrance-free product, and avoid alcohol-based or heavily scented formulas that may irritate newly waxed skin.
